2016 Netent approached my team. The product owner wanted to do a different and innovative game that is yet to be seen in the online casino industry. A game with completely new game mechanics (the swirly spin). We were tasked to come up with a visual theme for the game that would attract more casual gamers. After many idea iterations we ended up with an Irish leprechaun named Finn and his magical portal that leads to his sky casino city. A challenging but fun game that had one of the most successful starts in Netent's history. We hope it will continue its success and keep bringing joy among players for many years to come.
My role in general was as a senior & lead motion-designer, FX animator on the game. I was also overseeing the 3D production of our hero character Finn. That as well as leading the entire production for the intro movie. More details below.

INTRO MOVIE
Finn, being the host of his magical casino sky city, the art Director wanted an intro that would reflect that. We had the very challenging task of delivering something that would not only reflect that, but also be done in one of the most tightly scheduled productions for a Netent intro. We went in with the idea of presenting our hero character in a more surealistic manner, more about what's going on in Finn's head then having a detailed physical environment.
